Two newly decorated showcases in the Medical Centre Lobby of Mill Bay Centre – They depict ‘The Way We Were’ and show the early days of the two road intersections in Mill Bay.
One is the intersection of Mill Bay Rd, Lashburn Rd and Deloume Rd. Today there is Brentwood College, Rusticana Coffee and Island Savings Credit Union.
The pictures in the display show what was there in the past. The other display case shows the intersection of the Trans Canada Highway and Deloume Rd.
What is there now is the A&W, the Co-Op Gas Station and the Mall with Tim Horton’s and MacDonald’s. The display pictures show what used to be there.
