As you know, docents are a vital link between what is displayed in the Museum and how visitors respond to what they see.
With this in mind we are inviting members of the Mill Bay/Malahat, Bamberton and Cobble Hill Historical Societies to a client relations course.
The course will be at the Museum (2851 Church Way, Mill Bay) on Sunday June 2nd starting at 1:00.
Taking the course does not commit you to working at the Heritage Museum it is an opportunity to learn more about being a docent if you are interested.
Duration is approximately 2 hours but potentially longer depending on discussions and the level of participation. Refreshments will be served.
Please dress casually.
Course is by Lois Thompson who has facilitated courses for the 1994 Commonwealth Games volunteers and Tourism Victoria.
Lois presented the Superhost Program to the volunteers of The Royal BC Museum and Craigdarroch Castle amongst many other organizations, businesses and schools for 9 years.
There is no charge for this course – Only your enthusiasm is required.
Please join us for this exciting opportunity to be part of the Heritage Museum team.
