White Cross Placement Ceremony – Saturday November 3, 2018 – Starting at 1:00pm

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, white cross placements to mark the graves of all armed services veterans will take place starting at 1:00pm at Shawnigan Cemetery with 31 crosses and continue in Mill Bay with 12 crosses at the heritage church (former Methodist/United) at the end of Church Way.
Then at 2:00pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery, bagpipes will provide the background for placement of 48 crosses, with socializing and refreshments to follow in the pastoral centre.
The Mill Bay/Malahat Historical Society coordinates these placements and is grateful for the cooperation of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 134, Cowichan Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, Malahat Lions, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and the Old Cemeteries Society.
